Hoodrich was founded in 2014 by Jay Williams. Born and raised in Birmingham Jay took £200 savings, with that the first 30 tees were made.
A year after the brands launch Jay was operating single handedly with Jay driving the business, from picking and packing, creating new designs and fulfilling orders.
2016 saw Hoodrich at its first designer expo where Jay showcased the Hoodrich collection in person for the first time.
Jay rebranded the entire Hoodrich website and hosted a brand event in central London where the likes of MoStack, Steel Banglez and Mist got to experience and learn about Hoodrich.
Due to growing demand, in 2018 Footasylum approached Jay to sell Hoodrich in 14 stores initially.
Following a successful launch into Footasylum, demand grew for the brand quickly and in summer 2019 Hoodrich launched for the first time in JD Sports.
Fast forward to 2021, Fumez the Engineer was signed as our first ambassador and Hoodrich became the official sponsors of YouTube series Plugged In.
Due to the success of Footasylum and JD Sports in the previous years Hoodrich was approached by Netflix to work with Top Boy on an exclusive collection to celebrate the Top Boy season 2 launch whilst the highly awaited Hoodrich Women's brand was reborn.
The year that took Hoodrich to the next level with Hoodrich available in over 1,000 retail outlets across 24 countries, European activations, the opening of the Hood Quarters, more work with global talent and the launch of our FNTS series. Stay locked in for big moves in 2024.
